Emu Moon had this to say about her artwork displayed below:
"So, I'm initially from Massachusetts but moved a lot. My favourite place I lived in was Salem. Loved the place to death. When I moved to South Carolina, I lost a lot of the variety and excitement I got living in Salem. One Halloween, I found a mug at Wal-Mart that said "Resting Witch Face." And let me tell you, I was over the moon about it. I was so so happy because it reminded me of home. c: Now it holds my coloured pencils. :D"

Ashaman had this to say about his piece below:
"the first time i really fell in love with tea was 2016. we had gotten to connecticut and were on a pit stop on our way back to maine from new york. we visited one of the local malls and inside was a tea shop. i tried some of the tea, and i was amazed by the flavor. i bought some tea there and the infuser. after that, i started to collect more and more tea, eventually getting to my current number of over 20 teas.. my life was changed for the better by that experience because when i was feeling down or i wanted to make others feel better, i would brew up some tea"

Que the Sparkle wrote up this beautiful piece below:
Family trip on winter break
At a homey cabin near a lake
Drifts of snow piled up high
Pine trees trying to poke the sky
Inside, warm in pajama pants
Fireplace throwing flames in a dance
Siblings and me watching my dad
(Also fully pajama clad)
Pouring cocoa in Styrofoam cups
Adding hot water to fill them up
Mini marshmallows piled on
Didn't take long til they were gone
Past our bedtimes staying up late
Hot cocoa never tasted so great
Cozy and warm family getaway
The cocoa's gone but the memories stay

Viola "Gloop" has this to say about her piece below:
"[I made this to] convey my love for dipping these delicious cookies into hot cocoa, and using the TimTam as a straw until it disintegrates into gooey, chocolatey goodness. Yum."

Every single human is different. We all experience things
differently, have different experiences, different views, etc. All this aside
though, we all have things in common that can pull us together. For members of
the Halo 3 community might be
reaching 10 billion kills and helping each other become better players and
people. For some is the shared experience and love of the Scottish Highlands.
Even deeper than that, we all experience love, loss, happiness, and a desire to
be a part of something bigger. That desire to be part of something bigger is
what drives those of the Halo 3
community to hone their craft and save the human race in a fictional war. It is
this desire to part of something larger that draws many into religions,
fandoms, etc. It this desire that motivated the construction of some of the
greatest and grandest and most ancient of monuments.
In the
modern era, this grand human achievement is achieved through massive
collaborations, those that create awe inspiring movies, those in games, the Space
Station, etc. YouTube and Twitch are new breeding grounds for a new kind of
epic achievement. Jacksepticeye and PewDiePie and many other raised millions of
dollars for charity in an epic effort to help those in need last year, and neither
are slowing down. Smaller YouTube and Twitch channels are doing the same. But the
epic doesn’t always have to be so large. Many epic endeavors are accomplished by
smaller groups.
The
Super Carlin Brothers are working to create a safe, and uplifting place in their
Discord channel. Here is an escape from the dreariness of the world. Here we can
find peace and refreshment. It is not an individual effort. It is not even only the
effort of the staff and moderators. It is an epic collaboration of all members to create a
happy place. Perhaps it seems a little less impressive than the epic open world
of Witcher III, Subnautica, or the World of Halo, or the monuments like Stonehenge or Petra, and yet it seeks to apply lessons learned there to real life, even if still in
a mostly virtual space. The joy of being a part of something larger. The joy of
being a part of a thing that makes others happy.
Many of
these fantastic people on the Discord collaborated with me to create this, a
collection of artworks that attempt to capture a fragment of the feelings that
these wonderful people have associated with drinks, hot or cold! This prompt
was chosen because I know that those on the server love drinks, like coffee,
tea, and hot cocoa. There is an entire channel devoted to it in fact. I tried
to choose something that everyone could get excited about. And I think they did
great. The short time to work on the pieces prevented many who wanted to
contribute from doing so.
In some
small way, the contributors here participated in something epic. And, if given
more time, this could have grown and become more epic, and perhaps it still will.
